Cookie Policy

Last updated August 18, 2026

Short version: two essential first-party cookies (sign-in and your cookie choice), plus Google Analytics — which in the EU only runs after you say OK in the banner. No advertising cookies, no other third parties.

The cookies

Google Analytics, consent-gated

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. In the EU/EEA/UK/CH the script does not load at all until you accept analytics in the banner — declining keeps it off entirely, and you can change your mind by clearing the consent cookie. We run it with Google's Consent Mode v2: advertising signals are always denied; GA4 does not log or store IP addresses. See Google's privacy policy.

First-party analytics without cookies

Independently of Google Analytics, our own visitor statistics are first-party and cookieless: a one-way hash built from a server secret that rotates daily, your IP address, and your browser signature. The raw IP address is never stored, nothing is placed on your device, and the daily rotation means we cannot recognize you from one day to the next. This runs regardless of your cookie choice — there is no cookie involved.

Future categories

If we ever introduce marketing cookies, they will stay off unless you opt in through the banner's Manage option, and this page will list them first.
